A hunt in Turkey
is one that hunters will many times bring their non-hunting spouse with.
With sightseeing opportunities coupled with breathtaking mountain views,
Turkey; commonly referred to as the gateway to Asia is a popular destination
with tourists.
Ibex you take in
this area can weigh as much as 200 pounds, with the average horn length
measuring between 36 to 39 inches. Some outstanding trophies are taken every
year basis special planning that will measure between 50 to 55 inches.
This hunt can be
combined with Anatolian Chamois and Wild Boar.
Getting to the Hunting Area
You will travel
to either Istanbul or Antalya depending on the area you will be hunting
in. You will be met and assisted through customs at the either destination
by a ProfiHunt Representative and then most likely overnight in a Hotel. In
the morning you will fly to either the Antlya Region for your hunt (Akseki,
Anamur, Alanya, Finike, Koycegiz) or the Adana Region (Silifke, Pozanti,
Aidiaman, or Oemirkazik).
Hunting Camps
Hunting “camps”
vary from luxury hotels to village homes. You will find excellent food and
a quality service with skilled staffs making your stay comfortable.
Hunting Methods
This is a
classic spot and stalk hunt.
Some of the
areas have difficult terrain, and considerable climbing will be done each
day. Physical condition is an important factor in the stalking part of the
hunt.
Tented spike
camps or primitive cabins are used with the specific goal of hunting a
particular animal or area. Rams are generally located in rugged country at
elevations between 4,800 to 6,500 feet.
