Afgan
Urial
A rare
representative of the Urial family of sheep, the Afgan Urial Ram is a
beautiful addition to any hunters trophy room. They have a white bib and a
long, black neck ruff. Hunters can expect trophies averaging between 33 and
34 inches, with rams occasionally measuring between 35 and 36 inches.
This hunt can be
combined with Wolf and Goitered Gazelle.
Getting to the Hunting Area
The most direct
route is thru Istanbul where you will be met by ProfiHunt representatives
and then spend the night in a Hotel. In the morning you will fly non-stop
to Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, where ProfiHunt Representatives
will again meet you to assist you thru customs. You will overnight in
Ashgabat and then fly to Karshi or Charjow, where you will transfer to the
hunting camp.
Hunting Camps
During the hunt
you will stay in simple wooden houses or abandoned Soviet Army barracks with
beds or cots. Conditions are comfortable yet sparse. The staff will make
your stay enjoyable and although a simple menu, you will be served a lot of
meat, along with fruits and vegetables.
The Hunting
Camps can accommodate a maximum of 3 hunters per camp; with 2 hunters being
optimal.
Hunting Methods
Horses are not
available and transportation is done by jeep. All Hunters will have their
own guide.
The hunting can
be difficult with all done on foot.
